Overview
Because the Branch Reassignment program has the potential to permanently shift millions of dollars in assets in your general ledger, careful planning is critical. We will assist you by performing an analysis of branch reassignment based on activity, a branch reassignment based on geographic proximity to branches, and a branch reassignment that encompasses both member activity and geographic proximity.
After a decision is made on which branch reassignment technique is to be used, CU*Northwest will provide a preview of which members will be moved.
Schedule of Tasks
- CU*Northwest will review all CU*Base branch reassignment techniques with the credit union. This will include:
- Branch reassignment based on activity
- Branch reassignment based on geographic proximity to branches
- Branch reassignment that encompasses both member activity and geographic proximity.
- After a decision is made on which branch reassignment technique is to be used, we will provide a preview of which members will be moved.
- We will facilitate the reassignment and post the associated journal entry that moves the asset and liability amounts between branches to ensure the credit union remains in balance. (Performed at CU*Northwest only)
